Most delivery health (デリヘル) shops in Japan take bookings by phone, in Japanese. For visitors, that phone call is often the biggest hurdle. This page collects useful Japanese phrases for booking, with readings and meanings, so you can read them aloud on the phone — or show them to a Japanese-speaking friend who helps you.
1. First: check whether the shop accepts international customers
The most important point is whether the shop accepts foreign customers at all. Most shops do not publish a policy, and many accept only customers who can speak Japanese.
- Start with the shops on our Shops accepting international customers page
- When calling any other shop, ask first: "Gaikokujin desu ga, riyō dekimasu ka?" (I'm a foreigner — can I use your service?)
- Do not hide that you are a foreign visitor. You may be refused on the day, which causes trouble for the shop and the woman
2. The flow of a booking call
- Greet and say you want to make a booking
- Ask whether foreign customers are accepted
- Give the date/time, course length and whether you want a specific woman
- Give your location (hotel name and room number)
- Confirm the total price and how to pay
- Give a name and end the call

4. Prepare before you call
- Write down what you need to say — date and time, course length, hotel name and your budget. It keeps the call short
- Say that you are a foreigner at the start — finding out later is a common reason for refusal
- Make sure your phone can call Japanese numbers — and that the shop can call you back
- Check the rules — the shop's prohibited acts and your hotel's visitor rules. Remember that paying for sexual intercourse is illegal in Japan and is not part of the service
Summary
A smooth booking call goes: "Gaikokujin desu ga, riyō dekimasu ka?" → time, course and nomination → hotel name and room number → confirm the total price. Start with the shops on our Shops accepting international customers page.
