"Delivery health" (デリヘル, "deriheru") is a Japanese adult service in which a woman visits you at a hotel or your home. Many visitors ask whether they can use it. The honest answer is: only a limited number of shops accept international customers. This article explains how to find those shops and what to watch out for.

1. What you should know first

  • Most shops do not publish any policy on international customers. Many accept only customers who can communicate in Japanese
  • Some shops do say they welcome international customers. We list them on our Shops accepting international customers page
  • If a shop declines, please accept it. It is the shop's policy, not a personal judgement

2. How to find shops that accept you

Our list of shops accepting international customers is based on listings on YOASOBI Heaven, a site for international visitors where only shops that accept foreign customers are listed, at their own request.

Policies can change without notice. Always confirm directly with the shop before booking.

3. Language and booking

  • Booking is mostly by phone, usually in Japanese
  • Some shops offer web booking, messaging apps or English support
  • If you are not confident in Japanese, a Japanese-speaking friend can help you book
  • When booking, you will be asked for: a name, where you are (hotel name), the time, the course length, and whether you want a specific woman

4. Hotels — the most common problem

Many business hotels and city hotels in Japan do not allow non-guests into rooms. If the front desk stops the woman, you may still be charged travel or cancellation fees.

  • The most reliable option is a love hotel (a hotel rented by the hour, designed for couples)
  • If you want to use your own hotel, check the hotel's visitor rules and the shop's list of hotels they can visit in advance
  • Please follow the hotel's rules. Do not try to sneak anyone past the front desk

5. Payment

  • Payment is usually in Japanese yen, in cash, handed to the woman at the start. Some shops accept cards, often with a surcharge
  • Besides the basic course fee, there may be a nomination fee and a travel fee. The hotel fee is paid separately. Ask for the total price when you book

6. Rules and the law

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Sexual intercourse is not part of the service. Paying for intercourse is prohibited under Japan's Anti-Prostitution Act. Do not ask for it — doing so breaks both the law and the shop's rules
  • Follow the shop's list of prohibited acts, published on its official website
  • Do not take photos or videos of the woman
  • Be clean, be on time, and contact the shop early if you are late or need to cancel

7. Staying safe

  • Never follow street touts (客引き). Touting is banned in many entertainment districts, and it is a common route to overcharging and other trouble. Always choose a shop yourself, from its official website
  • In an emergency, call the police at 110. For help in English, Chinese, Korean and other languages, the Japan Visitor Hotline of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is available 24 hours: 050-3816-2787

Summary

Only some shops accept international customers. Find one on our list, confirm directly before booking, and use a love hotel or check your hotel's visitor rules in advance. Following these steps avoids most problems.

Note: Policies, prices and rules differ between shops and may change. Always check each shop's official website before using its services.
